Acrylic conformal coatings are used mostly for superior moisture protection of printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Polyurethane Conformal Coatings from Humiseal

Listed below are the most popular solvent based polyurethane (urethane) conformal coatings and this is not a comprehensive list of the Humiseal range.

1A20
A single component, durable and chemically resistant moisture curing urethane coating for printed circuit assemblies.

1A27
An oxygen curing, single component polyurethane coating widely used for printed board applications. Provides a heavy build per application and has excellent electrical properties. This coating is also available in AEROSOL CANS.

1A27LU
Identical to 1A27, with the addition of an optical brightener that fluoresces under UV light to facilitate visual inspection.

1A33
A single component, fast oxygen curing polyurethane coating well suited for general printed circuit board applications. This coating is also available in AEROSOL CANS.

1A34
A single component, fast moisture curing polyurethane coating formulated to provide an exceptionally long pot life.. Provides excellent moisture and environmental protection for general printed circuit board applications.

1A68
A single component, fast oxygen curing commercial polyurethane coating well suited for general printed circuit board applications.

2A64
A two component, heat cured polyurethane coating providing excellent humidity protection and dielectric properties. Characterized by high solids and low viscosity, it offers easy application processing.

Polyurethane conformal coatings are used predominantly for chemical protection but are are highly effective at moisture cure protection to prevent corrosion and electrmigration.

 Areas urethanes are used include fire alarms, automotive electronics and control drive electronics. They are available as commercial, military and UL (Underwriter Laboratory) grades and can be supplied as aerosols or bulk.

SCH offer training for companies looking to improve their conformal coating masking and demasking process. The training includes examination of the IPC standards to ensure the quality of the work.

SCH offer quality conformal coating training both on and off site. Whether you plan to install a conformal coating process or currently use conformal coatings we can help to develop or optimise your process, to ensure you achieve the best performance. SCH can offer expert training in all areas of coating including application techniques, material selection, optimisation, health & safety and trouble shooting.

Dedicated Training Room

SCH have a dedicated training room for conformal coating courses and demonstrations of conformal coating equipment.

Using this facility candidates get complete hands-on experience with the systems and processes without disturbance to production with a full range of systems available to ensure the best learning environment.

Conformal coating systems in the training facility include UV conformal coating curing, conformal coating dip, conformal coating spraying, manual conformal coating inspection and the new ACCIS Automated Conformal Coating Inspection System. Further, processes such as viscosity measurement, masking, de-masking, coating thickness measurement and solvent exposure monitoring can all be undertaken to give the maximum experience to the candidate.
