When using silicone conformal coatings with conformal coating dip systems there are several rules that are worth understanding. At the end of a shift you should:
1. Turn off the pump
2. If you are using a solvent-based moisture-cure material, carefully pour solvent over the top of the coating, so that the solvent floats on the coating.
3. Place the lid on the tank and purge with dry air, nitrogen or argon for a short time.
4. Run the air purge continuously to keep positive pressure inside the tank.
