Conformal Coating Training CD Rom now available

SCH Technologies has worked as part of a collaboration to provide an interactive CD-ROM for conformal coating training and education.

The CD provides a simple guide to the use of conformal coatings, their application processes, product benefits, inspection and quality control.

The CD includes a practical interactive defect guide which allows users to see defects, conformal coating application and user defects. A unique feature of the interactive disk is engineers answering the most common questions on coating processes, process defects and quality control in manufacture. This section features six experts on coating from around the world and also contributors to national and international standards on coating with IEC and IPC.

The first 20 companies ordering the interactive CD-ROM will also receive a set of inspection and quality control wall charts on conformal coating for shop floor display.  Contact SCH directly or complete the Conformal Coating Enquiry form.

Conformal Coating Masking Solutions

The Humiseal range of conformal coating masking tapes and dots are compatible with all types of conformal coatings including solvent based acrylic, silicone, polyurethane and epoxy materials plus all of the solvent less conformal coatings.

The Conformal Coating Masking tapes include tape and dot sizes 1″, 3/4″, 5/8″, 9/16″, 1/2″, 3/8″, 1/4″ and 3/16″ plus custom shapes and sizes as required.

Many companies utilise conformal coating masking materials such as tapes and dots to protect certain areas of their printed circuit boards from conformal coatings during application.

Many components and printed circuit board locations must remain uncoated and the purpose of the conformal coating masking tapes and dots is to prevent migration of the conformal coatings into components and keep out areas.

Some adhesive tapes leave residue, allow bleeding under the tape, tear or react with the conformal coatings. Humiseal’s silicone free conformal coating masking tapes and dots ensure all of these issues are avoided and provide prefect protection to ensure areas remain free of the coating .

SCH can also provide custom boot solutions for customers who wish to use conformal coating masking boots for protection of their PCBs.

Contact SCH for further information on conformal coating masking solutions.
