Can I bond to my polycarbonate casing with a conductive shielding paint?

A conductive coating like a nickel paint can bond easily in general to a material like polycarbonate if it is solvent based. If it is water based then it will need a solvent based primer coating before application. This defeats the purpose of a water based conductive paint so better to stick to solvent based shielding coatings.
